Project Manager Are you looking to begin a rewarding career in electrical project management?

The Project Manager reports directly to the Director and VP. This is a client-facing role that requires the ability to build relationships both in and out of the office. The core responsibility of a Project Manager is to learn through on-the-job experience, peer-to-peer engagement, and technical training.

Essential Job Functions

Ensure all company, client, and project policies/procedures are followed as specified.

Generate estimates, prepare and review project proposal or plan to determine and establish a time frame, work plan, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various project phases.

Oversee the project through administrative direction of on-site supervision to ensure the project is built following design, budget, and schedule.

Actively interface with the customer to validate expectations are understood and met before, during, and after project completion.

Plan, coordinate, and/or manage activities of all company personnel and subcontractors on assigned project(s).

Generate billings and lead the collections process for projects.

Conduct frequent project visits with field supervision and other personnel to understand progress, needs, or issues. Assist in planning future labor/material needs.

Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to the job site by working directly with vendors.

Build long-term relationships with clients and employees by consistently exceeding expectations.

Offer innovative solutions and develop methods of procedures in sequence of operations.

Locate end-user driver solutions.

Provide feedback and reports to the business unit vice president/or Director.

Manage project review process with emphasis on financial forecasting.

Provide guidance, mentoring, and direction to team and junior personnel for their development.

Continuously expand and update professional knowledge to enhance team productivity.

Lead team safety efforts and ensure adherence to policies and safety standards.

Participate in industry events and community activities.

Prepare Change Management Forms and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).

Required Education & Experience

Electrical contracting project management experience.

Understanding of electrical installations.

Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Strong computer skills, including estimating software.

Excellent communication skills.

Knowledge of billing and collections.

Organizational skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

30 Hour OSHA Certification within the first year.

Preferred Qualifications

College degree, journeyman’s, or master electrician’s license.

Five+ years of mission-critical/data center project management or field experience.

Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Project, and takeoff software.
