Calibration Engineer - Climate Comfort Controls - HVAC and Heated Seats
This role involves developing and managing calibration activities for climate comfort control systems, including HVAC and heated seats, to meet vehicle and system objectives. The engineer will collaborate with a global team of engineers and suppliers, developing new control strategies and addressing issues in current calibrations.
Responsibilities:
Develop climate comfort control calibrations for HVAC and heated seat systems.
Manage calibration activities from development to production release, ensuring functional objectives are met.
Create new software control strategies and resolve issues in existing calibrations.
Collaborate with global teams of software, validation, release, systems engineers, and hardware suppliers to meet project milestones.
Requirements:
Support for road trips and drive cell testing.
At least two years of automotive industry experience in calibration development for embedded controls.
Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink/C/C++ or Vector CAN ape.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
MS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related from an ABET-accredited university.
Experience with Vector tools (CANape, Canoe).
Experience with version control systems (GIT/SVN).
Experience troubleshooting at MIL, SIL, HIL, and vehicle levels.
Knowledge of vehicle serial data communication protocols (CAN, LIN).
Experience with quality tools like Design for Six Sigma, Kepner-Tregoe, or Shainin.
Motivated self-starter.
Education:
BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
