We are seeking Entry Level Structural Engineers to join our Structural/Marine Group in our Richmond, VA office.

Come join our collaborative team of engineers and architects on a variety of challenging projects, including buildings, industrial facilities, mission critical/secure facilities, water/wastewater plants, and waterfront facilities. WRA has a strong mentoring culture and a focus on staff development.

Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and materials. Conduct field investigations, develop concept designs, and create construction documents for clients across a broad range of markets, including Federal/Local Government, Industrial, and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and materials.

Conduct field investigations, develop concept designs, and create construction documents.

Collaborate with engineers and architects on projects across Federal/Local Government, Industrial, and Manufacturing markets.

Requirements:

0-4 years of structural design experience

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Concentration from an ABET accredited program

Internship experience in a related field preferred

Experience with structural design and analysis software (RISA, STAAD, etc.)

Experience with drafting and modeling software (Revit and AutoCAD)

Knowledge of building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, etc.)

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Additional Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Concentration preferred

Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred
