Advanced Test Engineer

Job Title: Sr Advanced Test Engineer Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite) Period: 6 months with possible extension/hire Pay Rate: $60.00/hr. on W2 Description: Tasks include DO-160 qualification testing and Validation and Verification testing of electronic hardware. Preferable candidate has experience in testing. PRE-SCREEN QUESTIONS Describe the products for which you have led or participated in qualification testing. To what extent? Describe the environmental tests you have witnessed or defined for electronic products. Which laboratory electronics test hardware are you proficient with? Key Responsibilities Plan and execute Environmental and EMI Qualification tests on Avionics products Prepare test reports for regulatory compliance Assist in product certification for customer & regulatory (e.g., FAA) acceptance Communicate non-compliance incidents to pertinent parties Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering 4+ years experience in Hardware/Product Engineering Experience in Environmental and/or EMI testing for avionics product qualification WE VALUE Familiarity with Product Qualification guidance standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, etc.) Basic knowledge of electronic display principles Basic knowledge of hardware engineering standards and specifications Experience with Hardware Verification testing Experience with optical testing/evaluation instrumentation for electronic display characterization Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize design of products, parts, systems or processes Clear and concise communications
