Akkodis is seeking a Hardware Engineer for a 6+ months Contract position with a client located in Phoenix AZ.
Pay Range: $52/hr. - $57/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Job Description: Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute Environmental and EMI Qualification tests on Avionics products.
- Plan and execute Design Verification testing on Avionics products.
- Prepare test reports for regulatory compliance.
- Assist in product certification for customer & regulatory (e.g., FAA) acceptance.
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment.
- Lead obsolete-component replacement investigations.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 4+ years experience in Hardware/Product Engineering.
- Experience in Environmental and/or EMI testing for avionics product qualification.
We Value
- Experience with Product Safety principles for Airborne Electronic Hardware.
- Familiarity with Product Qualification guidance standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of electronic display principles (e.g., LCD).
- Experience with complex digital circuit design and debugging.
- Experience with serial data communication standards (ARINC 429, RS232, I2C).
- Basic knowledge of hardware engineering standards and specifications.
- Experience with optical testing/evaluation instrumentation for electronic display characterization.
- Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize design of products, parts, systems or processes.
- Clear and concise communications.
