Preconstruction Manager - Food & Beverage Manufacturing

Join The Haskell Company as a Preconstruction Manager for large food, beverage and consumer manufacturing projects. You will lead all preconstruction activities, including budget development, value engineering, schedule coordination, procurement planning, subcontractor prequalification, detailed take‑off, bid package definition, subcontractor bidding, bid evaluation and presentation of detailed estimates. Responsibilities

Pre‑Estimate: Participate in design review meetings, monitor scope and cost during design development, lead Estimate Plan meetings and develop a clear strategy with the proposal team. Estimate Development: Lead a team of estimators, compile multi‑disciplinary work products into a single estimate, manage RFI lists, track milestone dates, ensure compliance with RFP documents and lead estimate review meetings. Subcontractor Management: Build and maintain subcontractor relationships, manage bid packages, receive quotes, conduct subcontractor analysis and organize scope review meetings. Post Estimate: Submit project budgets, assist in sub‑contractor selection, compile scope‑of‑work documents, capture lessons learned and communicate budget lessons. Database Maintenance: Maintain preferred subcontractor, bid form, cost history and estimating databases. Training: Train Preconstruction Specialists and develop and maintain training programs. Travel: Attend bid walks, conferences and site visits; expected travel 5–20% of time. Qualifications

7+ years estimating experience managing preconstruction for large, complex food, beverage and consumer manufacturing projects. Deep knowledge of construction principles and practices for high‑complexity projects. Experience with subcontracts, subcontractors and self‑perform work in a preconstruction context. Strong communication, presentation, and influence skills at all levels. Self‑starter with a value‑added approach to preconstruction. Ability to travel internationally and domestically as required. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with Haskell’s core values. Education / Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent construction‑related field. Extensive estimating experience and successful project delivery. This position requires ordinary ambulatory skills, the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate light to medium weights (10–50 lbs).
