Overview
Cooper Tacia General Contracting Company is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead projects in environmental and infrastructure sectors, focusing on wastewater and water treatment facilities. This role involves overseeing the construction of new plants, as well as upgrades and expansions of existing infrastructure. The successful candidate will manage the entire construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. You will collaborate closely with engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure that each project aligns with our commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
Location Location: Raleigh, NC / Atlanta, GA
Responsibilities
Take charge of all phases of construction for water treatment projects, including wastewater treatment plant upgrades, new drinking water treatment facilities, and advanced pumping stations. Guide projects from site preparation through final commissioning, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
Manage project budgets meticulously, tracking expenditures and adjusting to prevent overruns while maintaining quality and performance.
Act as primary liaison between clients, engineering teams, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors to facilitate communication and collaborative problem-solving.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. Oversee permitting and implement quality control from materials selection to final testing.
Anticipate risks, including site conditions, weather, and logistics; develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and lead the team to keep projects on track.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years in construction project management, with at least 3 years focused on wastewater and water treatment projects.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Strong knowledge of water treatment technologies; proficient in Procore, Microsoft Project, and related software.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex projects, and foster strong client relationships.
Employment Type Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Salary: $140k-150k per year total compensation (base salary + 3% project bonus)
