6+ years thermal engineering experience, with a balance of:
3 years thermal analysis (modeling, correlation, scripting) 3 years thermal testing (hands-on sensor installation, DAQ, chamber setup)
Strong proficiency with Thermal Desktop (with SINDA). Skilled in Python or MATLAB for post-processing and automating analysis. Able to install thermal sensors, heaters, and instrumentation for TVAC testing. Experience running DAQ systems and analyzing data after tests. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (advanced degree a plus). Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Perform thermal modeling and correlation for spacecraft components and subsystems. Plan and execute thermal vacuum (TVAC) and thermal cycling tests. Support test setups: installing thermocouples, heaters, and placing hardware in chambers. Use DAQ systems to capture test data; analyze results in Python/MATLAB. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver thermal design solutions. Document analysis, test results, and present findings for reviews. Nice-to-Haves
Experience with flight hardware (space-qualified designs). CAD (NX or SolidWorks) exposure. Familiarity with on-orbit telemetry analysis. Heat pipe design/selection experience. Benefits
