Job Summary The Clinical Staff Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients and members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal medication therapy outcomes. The Clinical Staff Pharmacist performs medication order evaluation and verification, drug distribution, sterile and extemporaneous compounding, technical supervision, and clinical services. Major job responsibilities include: medication order evaluation (to include but not limited to appropriateness and effectiveness) and verification, drug distribution support, technician supervision, clinical intervention, formulary management, and resource for nursing and physician medication related inquiries. Qualifications
Education & Training:
Graduate from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy is required; Doctor of Pharmacy Degree is desirable. Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency preferred. Experience:
Hospital experience is required. License & Certification:
Registered pharmacist or eligible for registration in Kentucky. Current board certification by Board of Pharmacy Specialties or must obtain within 2 years from date of hire. Current certification in Basic Life Support from AHA or must obtain within 90 days from date of hire. ACLS certification as determined by pharmacy leadership. #LI-DNI About the company
