UC San Diego Health is seeking CT Technologists at the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion in Hillcrest. Responsibilities
Working under general supervision, the incumbent performs routine to complex CT procedures for diagnostic purposes in accordance with established guidelines and CT protocols. Acts as a CT subject matter expert and assists other technicians as needed. Demonstrates and applies knowledge of radiation safety. Tasks include patient positioning, following radiologist protocols, administering contrast media (or assisting with intravenous administration), entering data into the computer system, reviewing and evaluating images for technical and image quality, and performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of a school of radiologic Technology.
California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R).
Registered Technologist for Computed Tomography issued by ARRT (R.T(CT)(ARRT)).
Venipuncture certification OR Venipuncture Course Completion.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Less than three (3) years of recent experience in a similar role and setting or a new graduate of an approved radiologic technology program (CT Tech) OR more than three (3) years of experience (Sr. CT Tech).
Thorough knowledge of radiological computerized systems and applications; PACS and RIS.
Possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties.
Preferred Qualifications
California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F).
Five (5) years of experience.
Hospital experience.
Work Details
Work Schedule: 12 hour shifts, Sunday – Saturday; Variable.
Appointment Type: Career; Appointment Percent: 75%.
Department: Radiology; Worksite: Hillcrest.
Hiring Pay Scale: $56.83 - $75.84 / Hour; Pay transparency range: Annual Full Pay Range $127,431 - $158,354.
Total Openings: 2; Union: EX Contract.

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
Life-support certifications (e.g., BLS, NRP, ACLS) must include hands-on practice; online-only certification is not acceptable.
