Overview
Talantage is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at a state correctional facility client in Baltimore. The LPN (Medical) provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical/psychiatric staff to address physical and behavioral health needs. Available shift: full-time, days, 40 hours/week. Responsibilities
Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within LPN scope of practice. Collaborate with Registered Nurses and medical/psychiatric staff to respond to physical and behavioral health needs. Maintain patient safety, documentation, and compliance with facility policies. Adhere to infection control, privacy, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications
Must hold a valid LPN license in the State of Maryland. Must show current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification. Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable. Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN (preferred in a community outpatient clinic, hospital, or long-term care environment). Experience in a correctional environment is preferred.
