Revenue Cycle Operations (RCO) supports the patient care services revenue cycle management team and other Finance and Administration members, overseeing the financial management of the dental school. This position reports to the Patient Financial Administrator and collaborates with various clinics, including Dental Faculty Practice, Craniofacial Pain and Sleep Center, Oral Medicine, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Tufts Dental Facilities, and clinical treatment areas like Endodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Pedodontics, Oral Surgery, AEGD, and Geriatric Dentistry. What You'll Do Our onsite Patient Financial Coordinators are vital to the dental school's revenue cycle management, ensuring full payment for patient services, directly impacting the financial and claims outcomes of clinical services.

Ensure accurate entry of patient demographics, insurance info, and self-pay details to optimize collections. Help patients understand their financial responsibilities by reviewing accounts and explaining treatment-related financial inquiries. Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in deadline-driven tasks. Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, limitations, and coverage before treatment, and obtain necessary waivers. Manage pre-treatment forms and follow up with insurances, patients, and internal teams. Document all actions in patient accounts and confirm patient understanding and acceptance of financial responsibilities. Address eligibility and benefit coverage questions and communicate with residents, clinics, providers, and insurance companies to ensure compliance and resolve issues. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Basic Requirements:

Completion of a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree, or a High School diploma/GED with 1-3 years of healthcare financial, billing, or treatment planning experience, including insurance benefits and eligibility. Exceptional emotional intelligence, customer service orientation, and strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of dental/medical insurance pre-claims requirements, billing, and compliance regulations. Experience with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and financial coordination. Attention to detail, independence, leadership qualities, and adaptability; proficiency in Excel; willingness to learn and implement change. Dental coder certification (CDC) required or within 1 year of hire. Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 3+ years of dental/medical insurance verification or financial coordination in a fast-paced setting, with CDC certification. Expertise in Medicare, MassHealth, commercial insurance, axiUm software, and familiarity with ADA, CPT, and ICD-10 codes. Schedule & Compensation This onsite role is Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours/week, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with an evening clinic rotation from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm.

Pay Range: $24.30 - $33.50, based on experience and internal equity.
