Responsibilities
Stationary Maintenance Engineer role responsible for welding, electrical, boilers, refrigeration, machinery repair and general maintenance.
Welding : Lay out materials and fabricate according to plant blueprints and sketches; use all types of welding rods for proper bonding, penetration and flow; proper use of cutting torch and acetylene welder.
Electrical : Demonstrate proper use and application of electrical test OVM meter; perform proper installations of electrical motors; install conduit and pull wires to code.
Boilers : Perform feed water tests and add proper chemicals; maintain proper TDS levels; operate boilers on natural gas or fuel.
Refrigeration : Maintain head pressures to obtain proper temperatures; switch refrigeration compressors as needed; perform and maintain oil drained from ammonia in refrigeration systems.
Machinery Repair : Follow factory assembly blueprints; demonstrate proper use of hand tools and shop equipment (drill press, bearing pullers, grinders, part-off saw, etc.).
General : Perform functions in assigned areas with minimal supervision; respond to work orders; follow Good Manufacturing Practices; attend Daily Production Meeting as required; maintain records and logs; support changeovers and startup; uphold quality, safety and cleanliness standards.
SQF Requirements : Maintain food safety and quality; report food safety problems; monitor contracted services; maintain calibration and preventive maintenance programs.
Coverage : Maintenance Chief Engineer is trained in all aspects and can cover this position as needed.
Education and Experience
GED or High School Diploma.
At least 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
Prior experience in industrial maintenance.
Intermediate computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel).
Excellent troubleshooting experience.
Ability to work well with people and strong communication skills.
Multi-tasking ability and ability to work independently.
Skills and Competencies
Physical requirements: standing for long periods; walking frequently; bending occasionally; lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling as specified; ability to work at heights (up to 85 feet) and tolerate cold environments.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
The pay range for this position is $52.27 - $52.27 USD.
