Provide leadership and mentoring to less experienced estimators Supervise Estimators and Estimating Interns as assigned Work with operations teams on general requirements, including fees, staffing of jobs, and construction schedules. Work with operations team, gain full comprehension of factors required for comprehensive trade package scope including contract documents, site logistics, schedule, coordination, means and methods. Estimates And Conceptual Budgeting
Perform complex and sometimes multiple estimating assignments. Develop all levels of estimates, including conceptual through final design Prepare detailed estimate including completing quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate input, and studies for items incorporated in assigned scope. Understand and execute multiple delivery methods, including hard bid, negotiated GMP and Design Build. Obtain and evaluate trade partner proposals relative to their scope of work, document and organize information into scope leveling sheets, and participate in Post Bid Review and Job Budget Development. Prepare scope leveling sheets for trades as required; coordinate with project team to identify and eliminate scope gaps and overlaps. Develop value engineering studies, including defining more cost-efficient alternatives to proposed scope. Process Compliance And Development
Lead document management for project, including receiving drawings and specifications, providing proper file structure and distribution to stakeholders. Work with Operations Team to determine what EBCO field labor is to be included in Estimate/Bid. Proficiently utilize estimating software tools: OnScreen Takeoff, BlueBeam, ISQFT, and others. Gather historical data from past/on-going projects for use in future estimates. Prepare comparison analysis to previous estimate for assigned projects. Improve efficiency and efficacy of existing estimating processes and procedures. Customer Relationships
Establish bid schedules, attend Design/Budget meetings, and solicit subcontractors and suppliers for bidding. Serve as liaison with Trade partners, Design team (architects, engineers, consultants) and client; and as point of contact for managing assigned trade partners and distributing information. Demonstrate thorough understanding of scope definition and communicate pricing requirements clearly to subcontractors. Lead estimate reviews with project management, design team, and owners. Support constructability reviews through communication with project team, designers, and trade partner market. Develop subcontractor and supplier relationships. Develop and maintain subcontractor database by sector of work to be used for bid solicitation. Business Development/Sales Support
Work with marketing to assist with proposal preparation. Prepare Estimate Recap Front sheet for presentation and Qualifications and Assumptions by CSI Division. Establish and maintain relationships with architects, owners, engineers, designers, clients, and others for potential business development. Qualifications
