Field Service Engineer - Cargo

New Orleans, LA . As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installation, service, and maintenance of KONGSBERG’s K-Gauge Tank Level Gauging Systems on sailing ships/vessels and in shipyards, as well as providing in-house technical support and remote service to customers and colleagues worldwide. One of our key offerings is the fiscal K-Gauge Custody Transfer System (CTS), which is critical in LNG and LPG carrier operations. Key Accountabilities
Installation & commissioning of K-Gauge tank level monitoring systems Service & maintenance of K-Gauge systems onboard vessels worldwide Providing in-office technical support and remote services to global colleagues and customers Willingness to travel up to 50-70% Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Kongsberg control systems Read and interpret drawings and control system architecture Use multimeters, pressure gauges, and software tools for troubleshooting communication or loop errors Learn the Kongsberg K-Chief 600/700 Automation systems and the integration of the K-Gauge system Work Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s, master’s degree, or equivalent in electronics, instrumentation, automation, or telecommunications; relevant experience may compensate for lack of education Field experience in maritime, shipping, or offshore oil & gas installations is advantageous Good oral and written communication skills in English Highly motivated for worldwide support activities (travel required) You Are Able To
