Operations Manager
role open for a growing, stable organization in Greenwood, SC. In this role, you’ll lead daily production operations, working closely with other management personnel to ensure a safe, efficient, and profitable environment. The ideal candidate is a
hands-on leader
with strong planning and decision-making skills who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You’ll be responsible for supervising production teams, managing schedules and resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals. Responsibilities
Oversee all production operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and employees (approx. 30+) Monitor production metrics and initiate improvements to reduce downtime and increase throughput Partner with management to develop and maintain production schedules and staffing plans Serve as an on-floor leader — providing guidance, solving day-to-day issues, and ensuring workflow continuity Utilize ERP systems (Global Shop Solutions or similar) for scheduling and reporting Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement Requirements
5+ years of managerial experience
in production, manufacturing, or machining (CNC, lathe, welding, or powder coating preferred) Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct teams in a dynamic environment Strong communication and organizational abilities Experience with ERP systems and production planning tools Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and lean manufacturing principles Bachelor’s Degree or higher education required About Perceptive Recruiting
