Electrical Engineer – Industrial Controls, Cables, and Test Equipment
at Creare. Creare is seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to support the design, assembly, and validation of complex electromechanical systems. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building and integrating real-world systems, ranging from test apparatus and control panels to wire harnesses and industrial automation setups. You’ll work closely with electrical designers, mechanical engineers, and E-Tech drafters to bring R&D concepts to life in our labs and field environments. Responsibilities
Design and build test apparatus, wire harnesses, and control panels for R&D systems Program and configure VFDs, PLCs, and other industrial control components Collaborate with E-Tech drafters to develop and refine workflows in SolidWorks Electrical Support system integration, troubleshooting, and validation of prototypes Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards Maintain documentation including wiring diagrams, BOMs, and test procedures Professional Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, science or related field (Master’s preferred) Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in hands-on electrical system integration or industrial automation (preferably in an R&D environment) Proficiency with SolidWorks Electrical and familiarity with ECAD tools Experience with VFDs, PLCs, and control system programming Proficiency with LabVIEW preferred Strong understanding of wiring standards, panel layout, and harness design Excellent collaboration and communication skills Compensation and Benefits
Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr. Creare offers a competitive compensation package, including but not limited to a substantial annual staff bonus, industry-leading 401(k) contributions and plan options, medical plans, and potential signing/startup bonus. Salary is based on education and relevant experience. Additional compensation types: Annual Bonus. U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents only.
