Position Summary

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated, accountable individual to support the Facilities Operations Group as a Facilities Controls Engineer. This role involves maintaining utility systems in a semiconductor wafer fab, which operate 24/7 without interruption.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's what you'll be responsible for:

Providing engineering support for the operation and maintenance of facilities control systems, including troubleshooting and programming modifications.

Defining, preparing, and executing commissioning and startup processes to ensure controls systems are operational and reliable.

Leading contractors through development of scope of work, reviewing control design packages, P&ID drawings, program design, testing, and startup of new equipment.

Designing and developing control panels, and implementing improvements and upgrades for better system functionality and reliability.

Collaborating with operators, technicians, and process engineers to develop and implement process improvements.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll bring to Samsung:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.

Experience in designing, constructing, or commissioning industrial control systems.

Risk analysis and data-driven decision-making skills.

Knowledge of software such as Rockwell RS Logix/Studio 5000, Aveva System Platform, Siemens SIMATIC Manager, Ignition HMI is a plus.

Familiarity with Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix/MicroLogix and Siemens S7-300/S7-400 hardware.

Understanding of industrial networks and communication protocols like Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, RS 485, and IT networking basics.

Note: This position is full-time onsite.

The current base salary range for this role is between $85,936 and $146,324. Individual pay depends on duties, location, education, skills, and experience. Total compensation includes benefits and may involve incentive programs based on performance.
