Base pay range $62,500.00/yr - $97,750.00/yr

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Mechanical Engineer in Colorado. As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our local, national and international municipal clients in water and wastewater.

You’ll be charged with designing water and wastewater pump stations, treatment facilities/processes for water and wastewater plants, conveyance systems, technical writing, and construction drawing and specification production. We’ll have you use your experience to design pump stations for water and wastewater, including pipe sizing calculations, selection of pump type, process facilities (primary, secondary, tertiary, and solids treatment systems), rotating equipment (centrifugal pumps, blowers), piping systems, valves, and appurtenances for in plant process piping, chemical systems, and hydraulic studies. Here’s what you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree

At least 3 years of experience in water/wastewater, or related process mechanical engineering for municipal or industrial clients. We recognize that many of the skills we need are also developed in adjacent industries such as food & beverage (CIP systems, sanitary piping, thermal processes), brewing (pumps, valves, tanks, piping networks), mining (slurry pumps, dewatering, material separation), chemical processing (pumps, valves, piping, tanks). Engineers from these sectors who have worked on process equipment integration, fluid handling systems, and mechanical utilities and infrastructure are encouraged to apply.

Detailed mechanical design experience for water and wastewater or related treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems.

Experience developing P&IDs in coordination with process control engineers.

Professional Engineer (P.E.) License, or ability to obtain licensure within a year of joining.

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have

Hydraulic Modeling experience

Knowledge about designing piping systems, valves, and appurtenances for water and wastewater treatment plant process piping (ductile iron, steel, PVC, HDPE, copper, etc.).

Ability to help with design implementation of rotating equipment and process treatment equipment

Design experience developing plans and specifications.

Experience with Design-Build, CMAR/CM-GC and/or EPC projects.

Construction support services for water and wastewater projects or related industries.

The base salary range for this position is $62,500.00 to $97,750.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
