Principal Transportation Planner – (TWU OA-REP) $99,734- $132,458 Associate Staff Analyst – (TWU-OA-REP)$93,453 - $121,004 Responsibilities

Analyze, plan and bring administrative organization, insight and planning to the operation within multiple units of the CSOS sub-division. Provide high level planning oversight, perform remote QC’s and make recommendations to improve data integrity to support the Subway Fare Evasion effort in various methods. Provide technical assistance for improving bus/subway service. Manage all non-revenue vehicle fleet recordkeeping including mileage sheets, fueling and EZ pass records, and all violations/tickets; liaise with operators, DOB and Department of Finance to ensure resolutions. Manage all sub-division tele-communications and electronic assets; provide high level usage to the group Exec to ensure policy compliance. Assist the Scheduling Unit with high level planning and a detailed work program focused on data collection for new MTA needs. Manage all record retention functions for CSOS ensuring documents are secured per policy. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Access) and in database management for quick inquiries; work closely with management. Education And Experience

Principal Transportation Planner

— A Baccalaureate degree in engineering, urban studies, geography, transportation science, urban planning, economics, business, public administration, political science, or related fields; five (5) years of full-time paid experience in transportation planning, scheduling or operations. A master’s degree may substitute for one (1) year of experience. Associate Staff Analyst

— A Master’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, business, public administration, or related fields, and ONE (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in relevant areas; OR a Baccalaureate degree and THREE (3) years of relevant experience. All candidates must possess a baccalaureate degree to apply. Desired Skills

Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access. Strong organization and ability to plan and meet deadlines. Effective organizational and communication skills. Excellent data research, data collection and analytical skills. Other Information
