Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Planner, Supply Chain to take ownership of supply execution and scheduling activities across multiple products and processes. This role is critical to ensuring delivery commitments and contractual obligations are consistently met. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in production planning, vendor scheduling, ERP systems, and supply chain best practices, with the ability to serve as both a problem-solver and mentor within the planning function. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Take full responsibility for supply execution and scheduling of multiple internal and external processes to meet delivery commitments. Act as a mentor and resource within the planning team, supporting development across all planner levels. Serve as a subject matter expert on ERP systems, representing the planning group for system enhancements and projects. Manage overall planning and scheduling of contract manufacturers, ensuring customer expectations are met. Represent planning in key supplier and partner communications, including weekly meetings with contract manufacturers. Oversee and maintain the inventory control system in alignment with organizational standards. Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to strengthen supply chain performance. Operate independently, with accountability for all aspects of role responsibilities. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered. Minimum 8 years of experience in production planning and vendor scheduling. Strong hands-on experience working with ERP systems. Demonstrated track record of successfully performing in a senior planning role. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities. Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Deep knowledge of MRP processes, logic, and outputs within ERP systems. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues proactively. Candidates must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident. Selected candidate will be subject to a post offer background check and must be able to maintain a Secret-level DoD security clearance.
