Senior FSQA Supervisor - Humboldt, TN - 2nd Shift
Join Tyson Foods as a Senior FSQA Supervisor in Humboldt, TN on the 2nd shift. This role is responsible for the daily management of activities of the FSQA department, including food safety programs, micro and chemistry lab operations, specification adherence, and product quality for case ready products within the facility. The position reports to the FSQA Manager and may be assigned special projects, departmental budgets, turnover, and safety initiatives.
Responsibilities
Daily oversight of production practices including raw material receiving requirements; preoperational and operational sanitation
Finished product quality and Food Safety Systems
Ensure all Tyson FSQA policies and procedures are followed
Monitoring, verification and documentation related to government regulations
Developing, implementing and maintaining HACCP and SSOP-based inspection programs
Ensure finished product conforms to customer product and label specifications
Report product issues and audit results to plant and corporate FSQA, plant management, corporate sales, R&D and operations
Interact with customers and their agents for product showings, plant tours and audits
Oversee investigation/response to quality-related customer complaints
Monitor microbiological results, conduct bacterial swabs, generate shelf-life/environmental graphs; lead sanitation training and education
Implement and maintain case-ready food safety and quality programs; select, train, and manage FSQA Supervisors and FSQA Technicians
Responsible for food safety, food quality and legality
Requirements
Education:
Broad knowledge in poultry processing, scientific and technical fields. Typically a bachelor's degree related to the job (preferred).
Experience:
2+ years in food manufacturing (preferred). Prior supervisory experience (preferred). HACCP certification preferred; broad knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, and SSOPs.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Teams); familiarity with Plant View, SAP and Tyson operating programs for generating spreadsheets and templates.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact with all levels from line team members to corporate management.
Supervisory:
Manage crewing, labor, and attendance for the 2nd shift FSQA department.
Travel:
1-5 trips per year
