Key Objectives / Deliverables

Build and promote a strong Safety and Quality culture; maintain a safe working environment.

Ensure operations maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements at all times.

Support tank farm, truck, and rail loading/unloading areas to execute the production plan.

Provide active engagement on the floor to ensure consistency of operations on the designated shift.

Complete audit action items and participate in CAPA investigations.

Set objectives and development plans for operators; manage employee relations and escalations.

Build and develop a team, promote good team spirit, and ensure operators are adequately trained.

Manage overtime and resource needs to meet business objectives.

Startup Phase Leadership (2025‑2027)

Build the organization with necessary capability, capacity, and culture.

Develop and implement systems and processes to run the site, leveraging Lilly practices and external learning.

Support regulatory compliance and operational excellence using lean principles.

Provide feedback and support to the project team as they deliver the facility.

Basic Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Legal authorization to work in the United States; Lilly does not sponsor visas.

Completion of Post Offer Exam or Work Simulation if applicable.

Demonstrated leadership experience.

Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical/manufacturing operations.

Additional Preferences

Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in science, engineering, or technical field.

Experience in facility/area start‑up environments.

Experience in tank farm or truck/rail loading and unloading.

Skills in providing/receiving feedback and creating employee development plans.

Basic computer skills (desktop software).

Solid understanding of FDA guidelines and cGMP requirements.

Strong organizational, technical, and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

Ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts.

Ability to work overtime as required.

Potential short‑term assignment (1‑3 months) domestically or internationally for training and certification.

Actual compensation is based on education, experience, skills, and location. The anticipated wage for this position is $40,380 – $59,230 per year. Lilly offers a comprehensive benefits program including 401(k), health, dental, vision, life insurance, and more.
