Overview GovCIO is currently hiring for an Information Technology (IT) Inventory Specialist to provide warehouse inventory support to our federal customer. This position will be located in Frederick, MD and will be an onsite position. This position requires a forklift certification for the state of MD. If hired, and the employee does not possess one, it will be sponsored and paid for by GovCIO.
Responsibilities
Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment under federal supervision.
Assist with tracking, identification, and management of IT inventory in a warehouse and office setting.
Manage the receiving of large volume shipments of IT equipment to the Warehouse.
Manage IT equipment for pre-staging; plan and manage storage locations within the warehouse.
Pull and stage IT equipment in a timely manner to support scheduled shipments.
Maintain manual and automated records for requisitioning, receiving, and storing supplies/equipment.
Inspect shipments and report on supply and shipping shortages.
Interpret and prepare supply and transportation documentation.
Perform data entry to query and enter information for supply, acquisition and inventory purposes.
Pulla and stage equipment for shipment to various sites and prepare necessary paperwork; familiarize with local POCs and shipping requirements.
Learns and utilizes shipping software and requirements for various vendors.
Maintain records to account for items shipped and assist with local inventory and database accuracy of stored equipment.
Assist with preparation of equipment for disposal according to federal guidelines (may include erasing hard drives).
Assist federal property custodians with location of physical inventory and transfer of physical inventory to other agencies or sites.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent with 0-2 years of experience.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods and manipulate/carry packaging, devices, and tools necessary for duties.
Ability to regularly carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to read small print on shipping documentation.
Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Familiarity with basic physical IT equipment (laptops, printers, webcams, scanners).
Exceptional organizational skills.
Forklift certification for the state of MD, or willingness and ability to obtain one.
Must be able to obtain and hold a Public Trust Clearance.
