Procurement-Strategic Sourcing Analyst MedVet Location: Worthington, OH (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Overview Reporting directly to the Manager – Strategic Sourcing, the Procurement-Strategic Sourcing Analyst collaborates with the Strategic Sourcing Manager, Category Analysts, Procurement team, Medical Directors, Hospital Directors, Clinical Managers, Support Services and Leadership to support the Category Manager Team, Operations, and vendor partners in daily functions of their assigned categories. The role drives strategy initiatives, performs category performance analysis, monitors industry trends, executes promotion planning, and manages day‑to‑day vendor relations.

Responsibilities

Understand and analyze all aspects of the category planning and process.

Generate, analyze, and draw conclusions from large data sets to support category management and business decisions.

Manage day‑to‑day vendor contact for issues related to SKU setup, pricing, costs, product logistics, and inventory.

Demonstrate proficiency in systems and analytical tools.

Assist in negotiation and persuasion with suppliers and internal partners to achieve optimal procurement outcomes.

Perform regular quality checks for spend and savings data accuracy.

Participate in supplier appointments, presentations, scorecard creation, and business reviews.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a business concentration; 1–3+ years of sourcing management and/or data analysis experience.

Analytical skills for manipulating large volumes of spend data, supplier, product, and facility utilization analysis.

Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of sourcing and/or contracting process best practices and measurement techniques.

Understanding of finance and accounting impact on spend areas.

Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.

Strong culture influence, change management, coaching, and training abilities.

Strong project management skills and commitment to process excellence.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Travel less than 10%.
