Department/Agency Health Care Agency – Analytics

Duties

Design, test, implement, and maintain complex technical solutions in SQL and Power BI to support critical operational initiatives.

Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI and/or Tableau.

Translate business requirements into design specifications and architect reporting solutions.

Build and maintain complex semantic data models in Power BI/Microsoft Fabric.

Establish best practices and designs to support semantic models for both the BI team and self‑service reporting, including optimal data loading and refresh strategies.

Optimize the performance of BI solutions, including data modeling, system architecture, and report refresh efficiency.

Collaborate with the Data Analytics and Data Platform teams to ensure high data quality, availability, and freshness.

Assist in automating reporting processes to improve efficiency and timeliness and troubleshoot issues with existing reports, and optimize code to improve report performance.

Set up monitoring tools to track performance, lineage, usage, and issues within the Power Platform environment.

Conduct data analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in clinic workflows, patient throughput, revenue cycle processes, and quality outcomes.

Perform other related duties as required.

Education, Training, and Experience Progressively responsible experience in automated office systems coordination, which has led to the acquisition of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. The required knowledge, skills, and abilities can also be obtained by completion of pertinent office systems coursework with five (5) or more years of related experience.

Electronic Health Records (EHR) data models

SQL development, Datawarehouse development (ETL)

Data ingestion and modern data tools

The principles of program management

Application of office automation to business processes

Extracting data from Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems

Healthcare data analysis such as clinical, financial, or operational

Proficient Skill In

Data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau

Working Ability To

Analyze administrative and organizational problems

Prepare a variety of reports and recommendations

Manage projects and programs

Communicate effectively in an oral and written manner

Translate complex data into actionable insights and clear visualizations

Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders

Oral Examination – 100% A job‑related oral examination may be conducted to evaluate and compare participating examinees' knowledge, skills, and abilities in relation to those factors which job analysis has determined to be essential for successful performance of the job. Examinees must earn a score of seventy percent (70%) or higher to qualify for placement on the eligible list.

Background Investigation A thorough pre‑employment, post‑offer background investigation, which may include inquiry into past employment, education, and driving record may be required for this position.
