Major Case Unit Adjuster, Auto Delivery & Rideshare — Reserv Reserv is an insurtech creating and incubating cutting-edge AI and automation technology to bring efficiency and simplicity to claims. We are focused on automating highly manual tasks to tackle long-standing problems in claims and set a new standard for TPAs, insurance technology providers, and adjusters alike. We are seeking an experienced Auto Delivery & Rideshare Major Case Claims Resolution Specialist to oversee high-exposure, complex, and litigated claims involving serious injuries, particularly those involving auto delivery and rideshare operators. You will oversee the full claims lifecycle—from initial investigation through resolution—while managing litigation strategy and collaborating with defense counsel. You will be a key point of contact for all stakeholders, including claimants, legal counsel, medical professionals, and internal teams. These files often involve layered policies, multi-party litigation, and sensitive negotiation. You will shape case strategy, resolve complex coverage issues, and maintain a strong focus on timely, thoughtful outcomes. You will also influence how we streamline and improve our processes by working with product and engineering teams to deliver feedback from frontlines of complex claim handling. Responsibilities
Manage legal aspects of litigated cases, including evaluation of legal process and expenses—particularly those involving auto delivery & rideshare vehicles and commercial exposures Analyze and review auto insurance claims to identify disputes, investigate and gather information and documentation, evaluate liability and damages, and negotiate and settle claims with opposing parties or their insurers Manage litigation cases related to auto claims disputes, attend mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings as necessary, and communicate regularly with clients, claims adjusters, attorneys, and other stakeholders Collaborate with defense counsel, claims counsel, and litigation claims management for strategic planning; develop and maintain relationships with approved defense firms and vendors Review legal documents and ensure compliance with initial suit-handling plan of action Analyze policy language, reach appropriate coverage decisions, draft coverage correspondence, and proactively manage primarily litigated claim files from inception to closure Direct and control activities and costs of outside vendors including defense counsel, coverage counsel, experts, and independent adjusters Maintain adjuster licenses and continuing education requirements Requirements
Bachelor's degree (lack of one should not stop you from applying if you possess all the other qualifications) Active insurance adjuster’s license by home state or designated home state 10+ years of claim handling experience, with 5+ years handling a pending >60% in litigation Transportation/Auto Delivery/Ride Share litigation experience required Ability to drive litigation strategy and manage discovery, with accountability for attorneys Understand transportation coverages, contractual risk transfer, and additional insured forms Strong medical knowledge Sense of urgency and ability to manage time-sensitive demands Excellent written and verbal communication in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner Strong analytical and negotiation skills; ability to conduct negotiations directly with opposing counsel Knowledge of multiple state statutes, good faith claim handling practices, regulations, and guidelines Ability to collaborate professionally with all claim stakeholders Willingness to obtain all licenses within 60 days, including state-required testing Attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment Curious and motivated by problem solving and challenging the status quo Desire for continuous professional development Willingness to travel for client and claims needs Benefits
