Position overview
The Company Wide Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for ensuring that quality on all facets of construction, quality assurance, and testing meet the project contract documents and Carroll Daniel’s quality goals. The QCM develops, updates, and executes project-specific Quality Control Plans and works closely with CDCC staff and subcontractors to ensure compliance and thorough documentation.
Responsibilities
Review and understand owner quality requirements on a per-project basis.
Lead plan reviews with project teams to address QC concerns, mock-up requirements, QC inspections, and development of project-specific QC checklists.
Develop and implement Project Specific Quality Control Plans aligned with owner and CDCC requirements.
Assist in developing the overall CDCC Quality Control Program and train others in quality management as needed.
Collaborate with project teams and subcontractors to ensure understanding of quality requirements and onboarding of new team members.
Attend pre-installation meetings to review material, installation procedures, and testing requirements.
Review submittals to ensure materials and equipment meet contract requirements; inspect delivered items for conformance.
Verify manufacturer installation instructions are followed and installation complies with documents.
Oversee testing and inspection requirements, ensuring tests are performed, documented, and compliant.
Inspect installed work for quality and coordinate corrective actions for non-conforming work.
Maintain logs of deficient and testing items and ensure timely resolution.
Complete QC inspections and prepare comprehensive reports documenting activities.
Attend, witness, and document third-party testing as required by the contract.
Support pre-inspections to ensure readiness for owner/client quality assurance inspections.
Suggest opportunities for process improvements in quality management.
Qualifications
Quality-focused leadership with strong attention to detail.

Team player with customer focus and ability to train others.
Working conditions
Travel to project sites or CDCC offices; may be on-site during construction operations.
Shifts vary by project; second, night, and weekend shifts may be required.
Projects may require relocation to different geographic locations.
Active involvement in industry associations and ongoing professional development may be required.
Education & Experience
Graduate engineer with at least 7 years in heavy or building construction, preferably in Quality Control, or 3 years in QC with a consulting firm.
Non-graduate with at least 10 years in heavy or building construction, including 3 years in a supervisory QC role.
Alternatively, a candidate with special qualifications may be considered.
