AutoNation . The e-Commerce Sales Manager has the opportunity to lead a sales team to create an exceptional experience for customers. This role is responsible for selecting, training, coaching, developing and retaining the very best e-Commerce Sales Associates for the store and driving a high level of performance among the sales team to increase market share, achieve targeted unit sales and profit margins while delighting every Customer along the way. Lead yourself and the team in a way that supports AutoNation’s Vision and Mission Set a clear vision and goals for the sales team to achieve targeted performance in new and used vehicle sales and profit Engage and motivate the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations and AutoNation best practice processes Drive the business through a high level of involvement in day‑to‑day operations Ensure e-leads are handled timely, answer questions, provide information, and ideally set an appointment for a store visit Manage follow‑ups with e-leads to assist them through their research phase until ready for a vehicle purchase Ensure customers are transitioned effectively from phone and internet contact to in-store experiences Manage the negotiation process with Sales Associates so customers understand purchase options and pricing Appraise vehicles for trade Manage three areas of customer traffic: Showroom, E‑Commerce, and Phones Partner with the General Manager and/or General Sales Manager to plan and manage new and used vehicle inventory Assist in managing controllable expense elements for the New and Used Vehicle Departments Analyze the business to determine shortfalls and develop action plans to improve performance What Success Looks Like (Key Metrics)
Targeted e-lead conversions to appointments Targeted unit sales and gross profit Targeted Associate retention Targeted Customer Satisfaction Index What Are the Requirements?
High School diploma or equivalent Proven success in eCommerce automotive sales Proven leadership ability to mentor and train others Ability to set and achieve targeted goals Ability to drive an exceptional customer experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organization and follow-up skills Experience and desire to work with technology Valid in-state driver’s license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record Career Growth Opportunities
Options after success in this role may include: Used Vehicle Manager Financial Services Director Compensation and Benefits
Commission/Performance based position. Expected pay: $5,000–$10,000 per month. Benefits and Perks
