Overview As a Developmental Specialist, you’ll work with children from birth to age three in family homes or community settings to create individualized activities that support developmental growth. By collaborating closely with families, you’ll ensure that play-based strategies align with family priorities and values while providing guidance and advocacy.

Responsibilities

Partner with families to develop and implement fun, individualized activities that support each child’s developmental goals

Collaborate with families to create treatment plans and assist them in accessing community resources

Provide services in accordance with Department of Public Health (DPH) regulations

Adapt activities to a variety of settings, ensuring engagement and growth in each child’s natural environment

Maintain accurate documentation and reports on developmental assessments and progress notes

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or Special Education (required)

Experience working with infants, toddlers, and their families

Strong knowledge of infant and child development, mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and treatment techniques

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Familiarity with internet, word processing, and email systems

Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation
