Position Summary The Petroleum Operations Manager is a key contributor to the financial and operational performance of the retail petroleum business. Reporting to the Vice President of Petroleum Operations, this role leverages data analytics, cross-functional coordination, and deep industry insight to optimize processes, manage pricing and supply chain logistics, and support strategic decision-making. The Manager will also lead and coach team members while maintaining strong carrier relationships and ensuring operational continuity.
Responsibilities

Develop analytics to benchmark petroleum operation performance and recommend improvements to enhance profitability.
Conduct spreadsheet-based analysis of weekly, monthly, and yearly performance of Petroleum Operations.
Review and monitor the accuracy of Profit and Loss (P&L) statements to ensure alignment with business goals.
Produce routine and ad hoc reports in response to internal reporting needs.
Create and maintain petroleum information flow reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly).
Design and build dashboards to track retail metrics, including sells volumes, contracted supply, and optimization supply.
Consolidate and analyze data from various team sources to support planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
Input and manage pricing formulas, seasonal fuel transitions, freight tables, site setups, and supplier invoices in PDI.
Support the Retail Pricing team in streamlining price survey data collection and exploring automation opportunities with platforms such as OPIS.
Maintain and develop Common Carrier relationships and negotiate competitive rates.
Resolve supply issues and activate/manage supply contingency plans to ensure fuel availability.
Manage, train, and coach direct and indirect team members to drive performance, accountability, and development.
Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the petroleum team
Working Relationships Petroleum Operations, Dispatch, Retail Pricing, Tax, 3rd party suppliers / freight haulers
Requirements Minimum Education:
Associates degree or related experience
Preferred Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Minimum Experience : 3–5+ years of progressive experience in petroleum operations, supply chain, or related analytics.
Preferred Experience : 5+ years of experience in petroleum operations, supply chain or related analytics. Proven leadership experience with a track record of coaching or managing teams. Experience negotiating with carriers and managing logistics partners.

Physical Requirements:
Minimal physical effort required; sitting / standing at computer for long periods of time. Ability to maneuver and lift up to 10 lbs.
