Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Inventory Control Manager to oversee and optimize our inventory management processes. This role ensures accurate inventory levels, minimizes loss, and supports overall supply chain efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with inventory software, and a proven ability to lead and improve warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices. Monitor inventory levels and ensure data accuracy in ERP or inventory systems. Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations. Identify and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and digital records. Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels. Analyze inventory trends and generate reports to support demand forecasting and purchasing decisions. Manage inventory related KPIs and generate performance reports. Train, supervise, and evaluate inventory control staff. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation Working Relationships:
Position will report to the Director of Distribution Center and will work closely with all levels of Management at the Distribution Center. Duties also include cross-functional partnerships with other layers of management throughout the Distribution Center and Store Support Center. Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education:
Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum Experience:
5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or supply chain operations. Preferred Experience:
10+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or supply chain operations, with multiple years in a leadership capacity managing other employees. Soft Skills/Competencies:
Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills, presentation skills and attention to detail Strong proficiency with inventory software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Ability to foster teamwork and build collaborative relationships Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Travel:
No travel required Hours & Conditions:
Typically Monday – Friday 8+ hour day, on site daily in office and warehouse setting, to include both hot and cold environments. Exposure to heights, noise, dust, grease, chemicals and temperature fluctuations. Physical Requirements:
Minimal physical effort required; sitting / standing at computer for long periods of time. Ability to maneuver and lift up to 10 lbs.
