Bridge Technology and Operations — act as the primary interface between settlement operations and technology teams, translating operational requirements into technical solutions and ensuring clear communication. Analyze, document, and optimize end-to-end trade and settlement workflows; identify opportunities for automation and system enhancements. Technical Issue Resolution — diagnose and resolve complex technical and data quality issues across settlement platforms, collaborating with IT and vendors as needed. Lead root cause analysis for outages, data discrepancies, and integration failures; drive permanent remediation. Vendor Management & Upgrades — coordinate and support vendor system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes, including planning, testing, and post-implementation validation. Disaster Recovery — participate in vendor-led DR testing, including weekend and off-hours activities as required. Integration & Data Flow Support — oversee technical integration points between internal systems and external vendors, ensuring data consistency and timely settlement processing. Data Stewardship — partner with master data and reference data teams to maintain accurate instrument and counterparty information. Automation & Process Improvement — design, test, and implement automation solutions to reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency. Documentation — develop and maintain technical documentation for settlement processes, interfaces, and troubleshooting guides. Compliance & Regulatory Support — ensure settlement systems and processes meet regulatory requirements; collaborate on system controls and reporting. Training & Knowledge Sharing — provide technical training and guidance to operations staff on new features, upgrades, and best practices. Industry Awareness — stay current on trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting settlement technology. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 8+ years of experience in broker-dealer back office, financial technology, or equivalent financial operations roles. Deep knowledge of broker-dealer products (equities, fixed income, ABS, MBS, derivatives, repos) and core settlement systems (Broadridge BPS, ICI, Postedge, DTCC MUSA, IHS Markit WSO, GLOSS, Loanet, EquiLend, FICC). Experience bridging technology and operations; translating business requirements into technical solutions and supporting system integrations. Vendor management, system upgrades, and disaster recovery testing experience; coordination with internal and external stakeholders. SQL proficiency for data extraction, analysis, and reporting; advanced Excel; familiarity with automation tools or scripting is a plus. Technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process optimization in settlement environments. Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills; ability to train and guide non-technical stakeholders. Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry trends impacting settlement technology. Compensation & Benefits
The typical base pay range for this role is between $134K - $180K, depending on knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and other incentive compensation.
