Overview
Now Hiring: Barn Worker – Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center (Chambersburg, PA). The Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center is seeking a dedicated and reliable Barn Worker to assist with the daily care of our horses and facilities. This role includes feeding, grooming, cleaning stalls, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for our therapeutic riding programs. Turnout/bring in horses Blanket horses as necessary Feed horses hay and grain as instructed by Stable Manager Clean stalls Clean and fill waterers/troughs Sweep barn aisle Give medications and first aid to horses when needed Some weekend and holiday hours required Assist with exercising and evaluating horses on horseback, considering prior experience and proven skill level All other duties as assigned by the stable manager Must be able to carry equipment and supplies, with or without accommodation. 10-12 hours/week Some weekend and holiday hours required Compensation
The starting rate for this job is
$10.00/hour . Background Checks and Clearances
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Campus Security Statistics
