Overview
Strategic Sourcing Category Senior Associate, Software/SaaS at KPMG US. This role is part of the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement organization and focuses on IT Contract Renewals and software/SaaS category strategies. Responsibilities
Provide sourcing category expertise in IT Contract Renewals and develop category strategies based on spend data analysis, supply market dynamics, category intelligence, and business requirements; develop and implement strategies for tracking technology-related maintenance and support renewals throughout their contract lifecycles to increase cost effectiveness, improve quality, reduce operational risk, and maximize savings. Perform due diligence, including obtaining supplier quotes, providing renewal notifications, and confirming requirements with business owners; identify areas for cost reduction, negotiate best price, and process renewals in accordance with contracts and firm compliance requirements. Conduct complex data analysis and build financial models (ROI, NPV, supplier scorecards, savings tracking, make-versus-buy models); execute strategic sourcing projects to deliver value in partnership with key stakeholders across the Firm. Implement strategies to manage the IT Contract Renewals supplier base, review suppliers against contracted obligations/service levels, risk requirements, and business expectations; develop and execute negotiation strategies to maximize value and minimize risks. Partner with the business to influence decisions, educate on procurement policies, and enforce compliance; manage supplier performance, drive continuous improvement and innovation, and resolve performance issues with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Work with legal and other areas to ensure proper representation and enforcement of critical terms and conditions. Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment. Qualifications
Minimum three years of related experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, outsourcing, and project management; combination of management consulting and line role experience is desired. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required. Good working knowledge of ServiceNow; working knowledge of common contractual issues to mitigate risk and negotiate IT renewals; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; understanding of contract terms and techniques for driving value; ability to build strong relationships with business partners. Strong interpersonal, collaborative and influencing skills; able to navigate a complex organization and work with suppliers, project teams, sponsors, functional leads, and senior management; ability to lead and support negotiations. Solid organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, RFXs, and contract negotiations; strong analytical, financial, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
