This employee will often work independently or with a small team to complete tasks after receiving training. This employee will report to a supervisor and receive training from their supervisor and may also shadow peers for experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Consults customers about water quality in their businesses and residences; investigates and takes action to resolve complaints such as discoloration, taste/odor, and air in the line. Collects and analyzes representative water samples. Tests treated water to check for appropriate chlorine levels. Operates water line valves and fire hydrants to ensure proper water flow. Operates and maintains portable chemical feed equipment to ensure proper dosage of chemical solutions. Reviews plat cards and as-built plans. Ensure job site is safe and equipment is operated in a safe manner. Wears all required PPE while performing tasks. Assists in training new employees. May perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge of basic computer skills (Word processing, e-mail, Microsoft Office). Ability to drive and navigate to different job sites, operate equipment, lift and reach, interpret maps and diagrams, document work using written or digital forms. Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience – High school diploma, or equivalent and three (3) years of water quality/purification or distribution experience. Licensures and Certifications – Valid Georgia driver’s license. Must obtain a valid Georgia Water Distribution license within one year of employment. Preferred Requirements – None. Work Environment
