Tesla . What To Expect Tesla Energy in Sparks, NV is looking for an experienced Sr. Quality Engineer to support battery and electronics production lines. In this role, you will be responsible for the quality of the parts, the process, and the final product. You will partner with design, supply chain, manufacturing, and service to develop Tesla’s production process to make high-quality products that meet our internal and external customer expectations. The Quality Engineer is a professional problem solver, capable of applying quality techniques to solve challenges and develop reliable processes that prevent defects. The Sr. Quality Engineer will work on high-quality products that meet the high reliability standards in energy business, contributing to Tesla's mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. What You'll Do Establish effective working relationships within Tesla through strong interpersonal and communication skills. Develop manufacturing requirements, quality standards, and product quality plans to ensure products meet customer expectations. Deploy manufacturing level requirements to subsystems, assemblies, and components, focusing on design and customer needs. Identify critical requirements to ensure proper supplier and production focus. Lead development of FMEAs (Design & Process) to identify and address critical risks. Support development of manufacturing equipment, controls, and test plans based on FMEA findings. Assist with statistical tolerancing, Monte Carlo analysis, and other methods to analyze part and process variability effects. Support process capability analyses to evaluate suppliers and production processes against standards. Design experiments via DOE or other methods to aid design validation and explore alternatives. Manage root cause and corrective actions system, track issues, and facilitate root cause analysis using lean methodologies, brainstorming, hypothesis testing, and DOE. What You'll Bring Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience. ASQ or Six Sigma certification preferred. At least 5+ years of relevant experience. Training and success in applying design for quality, FMEA, process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, DoE, SPC, etc. Strong statistical methods background with experience in Minitab, JMP, or similar software. Data mining and database experience (e.g., MySQL). Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
