Certified Welding Inspector – CWI - Full Time - Tampa, FL

Pennoni is seeking full-time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors in Tampa, FL for fabrication shops that produce bridge and highway products for transportation agencies.
Job Responsibilities
Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials
Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications
Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers
Production of daily written shop reports
Required Attributes
Minimum Education: High School
Minimum years of experience: 3
AWS Certified Welding Inspector
Computer Skills: Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well independently and with others
Need reliable transportation
Preferred Attributes
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications (e.g., UT, MT, PT)
Experience performing QA/QC of bridge and highway structures fabrication
AWS D1.1/D1.5 Experience
Coating Inspection experience
