TPH&Co. is seeking a GIS Analyst to join its Integrated Subsurface Team in Houston, TX. The role involves performing mapping of land, engineering, and geologic data, creating presentation content, maintaining GIS databases, and performing other critical geospatial work.
Responsibilities:
Team Collaboration:
As a member of GIS team, work closely with geoscientists, engineers, and financial professionals to create, update, and maintain GIS maps and data. Mapping:
Create, maintain, and edit maps, shapefiles, slides, etc., including: Land interests (WI/NRI/ORRI/etc.): expirations, depth rights, lease terms Inventory analysis to determine future development locations Well activity and performance maps including permitting, spuds, rigs, completions, EURs, etc. Raster maps from subsurface xyz grid data Locator and case study maps to enhance technical content Presentations:
Prepare content for PowerPoint presentations and large-format printed maps. Data Handling:
Create and maintain spatial databases, including geodatabases, backup map repositories; clean, package, and manage spatial data in virtual data rooms Requirements: 2-5+ years of experience as a GIS mapper with an E&P company, investment bank, or a related entity. Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred in GIS, Geography, or a similar discipline. Advanced proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS (ArcPro) Oil and gas industry experience strongly preferred. Programming experience in Python, SQL, and/or similar GIS programming skills beneficial. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with GIS joins, relates, and tools such as Enverus is a plus. Intangibles: Results-focused, strong work ethic, team-oriented, self-starter, excellent communication skills.
