This position reports to the Midland Division Facilities and Pipeline department. The GIS Analyst is responsible for supporting the Land Department by digitizing, analyzing, and storing oil/gas lease data in shapefiles and geodatabase files. The role also involves implementing GIS workflow procedures within the Midland division, creating map exhibits for various projects, preparing data for trades and divestitures, reviewing oil/gas lease contracts, and developing PowerPoint presentations. Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, or a related field (strongly preferred) 3-5 years experience in GIS; oil & gas/land experience preferred 3-5 years experience with ArcGIS Familiarity with shapefiles, geodatabases, and ArcSDE Basic knowledge of ArcToolbox, ArcCatalog, and related GIS tools Ability to manage workflows for multiple projects Ability to interpret legal descriptions and integrate data to create polygons Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Self-motivated with strong organizational skills Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law Requests for Accommodation
