SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified
Electrical Engineer - TEMPALT Engineering
to support the U.S. Navy’s next-generation submarine technology. This role focuses on Non-Propulsion Engineering Systems (NPES), including Electronic Warfare and Combat Systems, Sonar, and External Communications. You will help design and deliver Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and support Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) for temporary installations across multiple submarine classes. We’re seeking someone who thrives on technical challenges, values clear communication, and enjoys cross-functional teamwork. Responsibilities
Design and draft end-to-end signal and submarine platform alteration drawings using CAD software. Develop military-grade cable designs (copper and fiber) based on rigorous Navy standards. Perform power system design and analysis (single and three-phase) for high-reliability installations. Analyze and interpret existing Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs) to inform system upgrades. Select appropriate mil-spec and Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) materials and components. Contribute to Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) including EMI and power standard compliance. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and logisticians to deliver on-time, field-ready solutions. Take ownership of projects from planning to testing, with a focus on precision and performance. Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s is a plus). Experience:
3+ years of relevant experience in electrical design and integration. Ideal Qualifications: Experience with drafting software such as AutoCAD or Visio. Knowledge of single and three-phase power distribution and EMI mitigation. Familiarity with submarine NPES systems (e.g., Virginia, Seawolf, Ohio class) is a strong plus. Experience with RF system components or cable design is a plus. Understanding of military environmental standards (MIL-STD-461, DOD-STD-1399) is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical team members. Self-starter attitude with a commitment to quality, ownership, and meeting deadlines. Technical writing and documentation experience is a plus. Requirements
