Job Summary And Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares, calibrates, logs, and administers radioactive isotopes to patients undergoing Nuclear Medicine/Nuclear Cardiology procedures. On-call duties are necessary for those in this position. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates Gamma Camera imaging equipment, computers, and other isotope-sensitive equipment to obtain representations or measurements of isotope concentration in specific body areas/organs. This position requires providing care/service to critically ill through rehabilitating patients, pediatrics through geriatric populations, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. The employee will support St. Mary Medical Center\'s mission and demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values, contributing to the organization\'s strategic plan and Performance Improvement Plan. Completion of an accredited training program in neurodiagnostics. American Board of Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist (ABRET) certification preferred in EEG, evoke potential and intraoperative monitoring. Current Venipuncture Certificate One year experience in neurodiagnostics. High School Graduate. Associate Degree preferred Where You\'ll Work
