IMEG, one of the largest design consulting firms in the U.S., is growing and looking for a Civil Project Design Engineer in Bozeman, MT. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer seeking a step up in their career. Additional office locations include Billings, Helena, Kalispell, and Missoula, Montana. Responsibilities
Prepare or assist other Project Managers with writing proposals. Collaborate as a PM or in support of other PMs with resourcing and scheduling staff. Coordinate planning, survey, municipal, transportation, traffic, and other civil departments and disciplines. Direct staff in the design of on-site and/or public water and sewer systems per local regulations. Direct technical staff in field inspections and efforts to certify that improvements meet approved plans. Complete permit applications for various agencies. Apply understanding of materials and methods to project work. Interpret state and local design criteria and apply to project needs. Lead or participate in project leadership on certain projects or portions of large projects. Direct and train Civil Designers to assist in completing reports, exhibits, plans, specifications, and permit applications as required by the project scope. Consistently produce high-quality construction documents. Skills
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing precision technical plans and drawings. Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in construction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D to mentor technical staff (not required but desirable). Clear communication, both oral and written, with individuals or groups. Education and Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering. Professional Engineer license. Minimum 5 years of engineering design experience in an engineering firm (6 years preferred). This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Company and Benefits
