The Materials and Structural Analysis (MSD) Electron Microscopy (EM) division designs, manufactures, and supports high-performance microscopy solutions that provide images and answers at micro-, nano-, and picometer scales. As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide technical support and assistance, ensuring the efficient performance of equipment such as Metrios 6 (S)TEM, Helios 5 DualBeam, etc., working directly with customers to address their needs and ensure satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and complete complex service tasks independently.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Generate accurate and detailed service reports.
Provide technical expertise and recommendations.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and tailor solutions.
Support technical training for Field Service Engineer I.
Participate in work schedule creation with colleagues and management.
Provide sales leads and feedback to support teams.
Territory
Up to 50% travel within Salt Lake City area and domestically.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in mechatronics, electronics/engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
2+ years in a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Interest in technology and IT trends.
Knowledge of electron microscopes is an advantage.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
