Interested in working with a highly motivated team of professionals? The Office for Children with Special Health Care Needs (OCSHCN) is seeking an Audiologist II in either Morehead or Prestonsburg. The Office for Children with Special Health Care Needs (OCSHCN) provides comprehensive services for children and youth with special health care needs through our pediatric specialty clinics, care coordination, case management, therapies, and collaborations. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following Serves as a member of multidisciplinary treatment team. Provides diagnostic and case management of audiologic services to Clinic and Non-Clinic patients. Provides services related to hearing devices including evaluations, fittings, repairs, modifications and routine monitoring. Oversees annual calibration of audiological equipment and monitors warranted repair. Partners and collaborates with regional birthing hospitals, families, and community audiologists to ensure infants are screened for hearing loss and receive warranted follow up services. Counsels patients and families on available resources in home community. Facilitates transition from pediatric to adult care. Plans and organizes, develops educational programs for families and other professionals or staff. Coordinates the audiometric work of nonprofessional or professional subordinate staff including nurses, hospital and school personnel, graduate students, early interventionists and others. Performs other duties as assigned. Skills and Expectations include, but are not limited to: Highly self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure. Demonstrates flexibility and critical thinking. Strong verbal and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills are necessary. Experience with cochlear implants and other implantable devices is a plus. Proficient in MS Office. Records Management. Travels throughout the region as needed. Minimum Requirements EDUCATION:

Doctorate in Audiology from a college or university accredited by the Council for Academic Accreditation of the American Speech Language Hearing Association. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:

NONE Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:

A Master's degree from a program accredited by the Council for Academic Accreditation of the American Speech Language Hearing Association conferred before January 1, 2007 will substitute for the Doctorate in Audiology. Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:

NONE SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):

Must possess an audiology license or be eligible for licensure from the Kentucky Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. License must be active by start of employment. Must be certified or eligible for certification by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Certification must be active by the end of the probationary period. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.
