The Exercise Physiologist analyzes patients’ fitness to improve health and achieve fitness goals, using evaluation tools to design personalized fitness plans that build endurance, strength, and flexibility. Core Job Functions
Administers exercise stress tests in diverse populations. Evaluates overall health, focusing on cardiovascular function and metabolism. Develops individualized exercise prescriptions to enhance physical fitness. Designs tailored exercise programs for healthcare and athletic performance. Supports recovery from chronic diseases and improves body composition. Implements strength and conditioning protocols. Monitors effects of physical training protocols. Guides patients on physical conditioning and injury prevention. Adheres to policies and safeguards assets. This list is not exhaustive and may include other duties as necessary. Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. Certification and Licensing:
ACSM Certification. Experience:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:
Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and train others. Effective communication skills, oral and written. Commitment to university values.
