Overview
supervise nursing staff in the Transplant Cellular Therapy clinic, overseeing and teaching specialized knowledge and skills to perform techniques and routines in the area of specialty. Provide operational management of daily patient care services and participate in the development of patient care standards of practice and personnel performance.
Responsibilities
Oversees and/or teaches others specialized knowledge and skills necessary to perform techniques and routines in area of specialty.
Provides operational management of daily patient care services.
Assesses, monitors, and evaluates systems for delivery of care.
Assists in development of patient care standards of practice and personnel performance.
Designs, executes, and delivers effective system of internal controls applicable and in compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
Facilitates teamwork through planned group processes (e.g., workshops, seminars, staff meetings).
Supervises nursing staff and/or other non-licensed medical or office support personnel.
May provide direct patient care.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Licenses and Certifications: Licensure as Registered Nurse (RN) by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas; Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire (Preferred).
Experience: 5 years of general nursing to include 1 year of supervisory experience; 1 year Oncology experience.
Education (preferred): Bachelor\'s Degree (BSN).
