The Audiologist II assesses and identifies patients with or at risk for hearing and auditory processing disorders to prevent disability and assist patients' optimal functioning. This position provides patient and family education, identifies follow-up resources, and communicates with the referring provider and care team. It may require mentoring in complex situations and cross-coverage to other settings.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating all diagnoses, conducting thorough assessments of patients' abilities and history, developing individualized treatment plans, determining the characteristics of hearing loss, and providing diagnostic audiologic services to pediatric and adult clients. The role involves using appropriate technologies, providing education throughout therapy, collaborating on discharge and continued care plans, monitoring patient progress, and working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.)

Experience:

Required: 2 years; Preferred: 3 years in a healthcare setting

Licensure/Certification:

Required: CCC-A from ASHA; BLS (CPR) from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
