Summary:
Seeking an experienced
Packaging Engineer
to design, validate, and implement packaging solutions for medical devices in compliance with
ISO 11607
and
ASTM standards . The role involves driving
cost reduction initiatives , supporting
manufacturing packaging systems , and ensuring
validation and documentation accuracy
across multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute
packaging validation protocols and reports .
Lead
cost reduction projects
(>$100K) related to packaging materials and processes.
Support and train manufacturing teams on
packaging systems and machinery .
Conduct
packaging and material qualifications , artwork updates, and specification documentation.
Manage
sterilization pallet patterns
and ensure alignment with
R&D and project timelines .
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate cross-functionally on packaging improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
in Packaging, Biomedical, Mechanical, or related field.
3+ years of experience
in medical device packaging.
Strong knowledge of
ISO 11607 ,
packaging materials & sterilization ,
design control , and
CAPA/root cause analysis .
Experience with
Six Sigma, Lean principles , and
project management
preferred.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with
supply chain coordination ,
packaging validation labs , and
artwork management .
