Relocation assistance provided. This is an onsite role in the Military Landing Gear Stress Department, focusing on landing gear design and analysis for advanced military aircraft. What You Will Do

Perform strength, fatigue, and fracture analyses of landing gear structural components Construct and analyze finite element structural models using ABAQUS and/or ANSYS Construct beam “stick” models and generate internal loads using NASTRAN Perform preliminary sizing and detailed analysis of major structural components using classical hand analysis and FEA methods in support of preliminary design and formal drawing release Assist with preliminary design trade studies Prepare high quality detailed stress reports for customer review and MRB support Review drawings with other disciplines and provide structures input Analyze structural repairs for landing gear and systems components Be responsible and accountable for all assigned stress tasks and their completion dates Ensure compliance with established engineering methodologies Communicate and make technical presentations to internal and external customers Able to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally when circumstances permit Perform other duties as required Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience Experience with aerospace structures and/or components Experience with an FEA software Experience with 2D and/or 3D modeling software Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with ABAQUS, ANSYS or equivalent software Experience with NASTRAN/PATRAN Working knowledge of CATIA V5 or equivalent modeling software Understanding of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & tolerances) Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Ability to work autonomously or within a team environment Prior Landing Gear Engineering Experience What We Offer (Benefits)

This range is a good faith estimate and factors such as experience, location, and duties will be considered.
